Fire Alarm Technician
Job Title: Fire Alarm TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to contribute to a five-year project. The role involves performing inspections, testing detectors, troubleshooting, installation, and programming of fire alarm systems. While previous electrical or low voltage experience is welcomed, it is not mandatory as we are committed to training motivated individuals willing to learn and grow long-term.

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of fire alarm systems.Test and troubleshoot detectors.Install and program fire alarm systems.Pull and wire systems as required.Pay attention to detail and ensure the functionality of systems.Remain on your feet throughout the day to complete tasks.
Essential SkillsExperience with electrical or low voltage systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting and wiring.Ability to interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & QualificationsOpen to candidates with no prior experience if willing to commit long-term.Training and additional schooling opportunities provided.

Work Environment

The role is based at HII, requiring the use of PPE including hard hat, boots, vest, and glasses. The position operates on a day shift from Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
