Fire Alarm Technician
**Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician ($30+/hour )** **Job Description** As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your work will ensure that systems are fully operational and compliant with local, state, and national fire codes. This role involves working primarily in Western Pennsylvania, particularly in schools during the summer months. **Responsibilities** + Install fire alarm systems including panels, detectors, pull stations, strobes, and speakers. + Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure systems are functioning properly. + Troubleshoot and repair faulty systems, including resolving false alarms and ground faults. + Perform preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems. + Provide detailed feedback on deficiencies and necessary repairs. + Program and terminate wiring for new installations. + Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed. + Communicate with clients and train them on system use. + Coordinate with emergency services when needed. **Essential Skills** + NICET Fire Alarm Certification (NICET II preferred) + 2 years of experience in commercial fire alarms + Proficient computer skills + Demonstrated ability to use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and programmers + Must possess a valid driver's license and a positive driving records **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
