Fire Alarm Technician
**Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician** **Job Description** A fire alarm system technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This vital role ensures that systems are fully operational and compliant with local, state, and national fire codes. The position requires working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, primarily in Western PA, focusing on schools during the summer months. **Responsibilities** + Install fire alarm systems including panels, detectors, pull stations, strobes, and speakers. + Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure systems are functioning properly. + Troubleshoot and repair faulty systems, including resolving false alarms and ground faults. + Perform preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems. + Conduct periodic inspections and testing of fire alarm systems. + Install fire alarm devices, including termination and programming. + Provide detailed feedback on deficiencies and necessary repairs. + Program and terminate wiring for new installations. + Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed. + Communicate with clients and train them on system use. + Coordinate with emergency services when needed. + Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency situations. **Essential Skills** + NICET Fire Alarm Certification (NICET II preferred). + Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial fire alarms. + Proficient computer skills. + Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and programmers. + Valid driver's license with a positive driving record. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Commercial experience is essential. + Diagnostic experience is required. **Why Work Here?** Employees are provided with a company van and gas card, facilitating ease of travel between work sites.
