Job Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities for their Project Leads/ Teams construction sites according to project blueprints, schedule plans and financials. This position must also coordinate subcontractors, as well as perform quality control and safety checks. This position plays a key role in managing projects to final completion and adheres to the customer’s standards.

 

Pay Range:  $95,000 - $135,000 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of project leads, technicians, and foremen, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation. Program fire alarm, clean agent and sprinkler monitor panels and other detection equipment. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other construction management teams to develop project plans, budget, and timelines. Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers to ensure necessary resources are available for the project. Create schedules for team members and subcontractors outlining important tasks and deadlines. Attending Fire Marshall inspections on the job sites. In support of resource allocation, manage additional subcontractors as needed. Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines. Implement management techniques of identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs in construction process. Collaborate with designers and project managers as needed. Other duties as assigned.


 

 

What We Are Looking For:

High School Diploma/GED is required. OSHA-30 is highly desired. NICET II+ is desired. Denver CSA is desired. Must have minimum 5-10 years’ experience managing fire alarm crews Extensive knowledge of fire alarms, electrical and general construction is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic designs. Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues. Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices. Good planning skills including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies. In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations. Superior knowledge in NFPA 72 codes. Knowledge/awareness of IBC and NFPA 70 is desirable. Great problem solving and decision-making skills. Organizational skills including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.




 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
