Job Description
This Fire Alarm Service Tech is responsible for performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial fire alarm systems to ensure full compliance with operational, safety, and code requirements. The technician will conduct system testing, diagnose issues, complete corrective repairs, generate detailed service and inspection reports, and communicate findings clearly to both internal teams and customers. This position requires strong technical aptitude across fire alarm components, proficiency using electronic tools and software for documentation, the ability to respond promptly to service needs, and a commitment to maintaining high‑quality standards while managing tasks independently in the field.

Skills and Requirements
- 3+ years of experience installing, servicing, or maintaining commercial fire alarm systems, including HEAVY troubleshooting and repair work.
- Ability to read and interpret system wiring, design documents, and code‑required testing procedures, with strong competency in differentiating wire types and using hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II (or ability to obtain within required timeframe) plus a solid understanding of fire alarm code compliance and inspection standards.
- Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to create accurate service reports, respond quickly to system issues, and work independently in customer‑occupied environments.
