Fire Alarm Assistant Project Manager

Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems. **Job Summary** The Fire Alarm Assistant Project Manager at Miller Electric supports the Project Manager in coordinating Fire Alarm projects from planning through completion. This role assists with estimating, project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, permitting, material procurement, and billing support. It includes conducting site visits, reviewing drawings, monitoring progress, and helping ensure work meets code, design, budget, and safety requirements. The Assistant Project Manager also builds strong client relationships, supports financial forecasting, and contributes to team development while promoting company initiatives and high safety standards. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** **Essential Job Functions:** + Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified + Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposal or plan todetermineandestablishatime frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures foraccomplishingthe project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. + Oversee the Fire Alarm projects through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built per code, design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with the customer tovalidateexpectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion + Plan, coordinate, and manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s) including permitting. + Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects + Frequent project visits with field supervision and other personnel to understand progress, needs, or issues. Assistin the planning of future labor/material needs of the project + Ensuretimelyprocurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors + Build long-term relationships with both clients and fellow employees by consistently meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions + Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit Director + Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting + Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals + Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity + Responsible for job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for personnel under supervision. + Support andparticipatein company-sponsored initiatives and activities **Qualifications** **Education & Experience:** _Required_ + Bachelor’s Degree or Licensed Journeyman + Fire Alarm experiencerequired. + A good understanding of how to read electrical and mechanical drawings isrequired. + Strong computer skills arerequired. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent organizational skills + Able to work independently as well as in a team environment _Preferred_ + Assistant project management experience preferred + Fire Alarm NICET certification is preferred. **Benefits** + Medical, Dental, and Prescription Drug Insurance (100% of the premium covered by Miller Electric/Emcor) + 401k retirement with company matching + Life Insurance + Short & Long-Term Disability Insurance + Flexible Spending Accounts + Paid Vacation & Holidays + Tuition Reimbursement Program + Wellness Program _Miller Electric Company is an Equal Opportunity employer - we believe that what is good for humans will naturally be good for business.
