Finishing Helper
**Job Title: Finishing Helper** **Job Description** As a Finishing Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line. Your responsibilities will include verifying pallet items, feeding cartons into machine beds, and maintaining a consistent feed during operations. You will communicate with operators and forklift drivers to ensure a steady supply of die-cut cartons, stack cartons into cases from the conveyor, and inspect cartons for quality and excess glue. Clearing jams from the machine line and verifying pallet labels for accuracy will be part of your daily tasks, along with manually sorting defective jobs and hand-packing cartons into corrugated cases. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. **Responsibilities** + Verify correct pallet item before feeding/gluing. + Feed cartons into machine bed and maintain feed during operation. + Communicate with operators/forklift drivers to ensure supply of die-cut cartons. + Stack cartons into cases from conveyor. + Inspect cartons for quality and excess glue. + Clear jams from machine line. + Verify pallet labels for accuracy. + Manually sort defective jobs. + Hand-pack cartons into corrugated cases. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Production experience. + Machine operation skills. + General labor capability. + Ability to stand for the duration of shift. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals. + Capability to write routine reports and communicate effectively (English/Spanish is a plus). + Basic arithmetic skills and ability to interpret bar graphs. + Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. + Problem-solving skills with limited standardization. + Basic mechanical aptitude. **Why Work Here?** We are committed to promoting from within, offering our team members the opportunity for growth and advancement into operator roles. Shifts are structured as 12-hour rotations: 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 2 days on, 2 days off. The facility is not climate-controlled, requiring adaptability to varying conditions. The role demands standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety is a priority, with steel toe boots required. Gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses are provided. There is an opportunity for overtime, offering additional earning potential. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
