The Finishing Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes. This position involves monitoring the quality of products, leading and training a crew, and maintaining detailed records to ensure smooth operations.
ResponsibilitiesRead and follow instructions from job tickets.Ensure product quality by monitoring squareness, size, and smoothness of book edges.Control product waste by observing downtime and excessive bad trimmed products.Inform and train crew members on quality standards.Exhibit leadership and provide continuous training to crew members.Ensure safe and efficient performance of crew members, and their ability to perform peer duties.Maintain proper records including downtime and job reports.Essential SkillsExperience in production and machine operation.Ability to understand and follow instructions.Effective communication skills with team members.Basic reading and writing skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsGeneral labor and production experience.Why Work Here?This position offers an opportunity for a 520-hour contract-to-hire role with full benefits available from day one, fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.
