**Job Title: Carpentry Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Commercial Finish and Rough Carpenter who excels in casing, trim work, and window jamb extensions. The role involves installing door lock sets and performing both rough and finish carpentry tasks as required by the superintendent. The shop is located in Ames, and projects span across Ames, Huxley, Ankeny, and the surrounding areas, with many projects at ISU this summer. Reliability and dedication are crucial, with expectations of working long days and some Saturdays during the summer. **Responsibilities** + Perform casing and trim work + Install window jamb extensions + Install door lock sets + Execute rough and finish carpentry tasks + Complete general tasks as instructed by the superintendent **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience + Proficiency in carpentry, framing, and commercial construction + Skilled in trim work and casing + Experience with metal stud and wood framing + Ability to perform finish carpentry and trim carpentry + Competence in door lock and window installations **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in woodworking + Capability in both finish and rough carpentry + 1-2 years of commercial carpentry experience **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive pay, PTO, 401K, and health insurance.
