The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Markets (SSM). When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending, financing, and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to SSM. As our investment research and trading arm, SSM’s number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world. The Financing Solutions team, within SSM, spans several financing and liquidity offerings, including cleared and peer repo, agency lending, and prime service capabilities. To meet client demand, Prime Services is expanding its product offering to include Equity Swaps: a market standard Portfolio Swap and a flexible Total Return Swap to meet our client needs. We are looking for a Vice President to help us sell our Prime Services Equity Swap offering. Join us if making your mark in the capital markets industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.
What you will be responsible for
Financing Solutions Sales & Origination, Vice President you will:
Originate new business opportunities and drive prospecting efforts with key clients and new logos Act as a primary sales contact for equity swaps offering for top-tier managers and owners across various strategies in North America Be responsible for clearly defined financial objectivesPresent a holistic view of financing solutions to a variety of client typesPartner with Sales, Client Management, Onboarding and Product Development to deliver an exceptional product experience for our clientsSuccessfully collaborate with client-facing teams’ enterprise-wide, displaying an ability to educate on offerings and establish customized cross-product solutionsActive presence at industry conferences and State Street led symposiums with a focus on promoting thought leadership to prospective and existing clientsEnsure State Street delivers world class product offerings as measured by market share capture rate, client satisfaction scores and various industry rankingsDeliver highly valued solutions to clients, ensuring comprehensive and consistent delivery of services as their needs evolveActive participant within a culture that encourages innovation and collaborationDevelops and socializes thought leadership via tactical and strategic marketing planWhat we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
Previous Synthetic Prime Services sales and relationship management experience within financial servicesStrong critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skillsA proactive, opinionated mindset with a strong desire to influence product direction and decision-makingExperience working in fast-paced, front-office financial markets environment; deeply engaged and comfortable with the markets and tradingOutstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with business leaders and technical teams alikeAn extremely flexible, hands-on approach with a “do what it takes” mentality and a willingness to challenge current paradigmsStrong team orientation with a collaborative mentality; thrives in cross-functional environments and values shared success.Education & Preferred Qualifications
MBA, CFA or in progress towards is preferredMinimum of 10 years of Synthetic Prime sales experienceEstablished relationships in the buy-side industry, with experience working across a range of client types and segmentsWorking knowledge of short-term reinvestment and financing options, inclusive of repo, prime brokerage and agency lending solutionsSelf-starter, motivated by making the entire team successfulProficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and SalesforceAdditional requirements
May require travel up to 50 %
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $210,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
