Job Description – Financial & Real Estate Analyst

The Financial & Real Estate Analyst will support all business development and transaction marketing functions within investment sales, working as part of the Due Diligence Team based in Montreal, Quebec.  In addition to collaborating with teammates and brokers in Montreal, this individual is required support the Calgary and Toronto markets as needed and will include prioritizing multiple projects at the same time to ensure timely receipt of deliverables by key stakeholders in each market. The successful applicant will be expected to work from the Toronto office at a regular cadence to be agreed.  This role reports to the National Director, Due Diligence.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the creation listing presentations and/or broker opinion of value reportsAssist with the creation of research reports or other ad hoc reports for business development purposesAssist with the generation of all marketing material content including comprehensive offering memorandumsGeneration of content including property, market and location overviews as well as general property research as neededResearch of the relevant land use planning context to assist with the analysis of development opportunitiesAssist with the creation of proforma financial models using Argus Enterprise or Excel and ability to present the associated cash flow analysis / valuation in proposals / presentations, in conjunction with a Senior Financial AnalystDue diligence reviews including detailed lease analysis, physical, financial, environmental and title documentsOrganize and prepare transaction documents, i.e. confidentiality agreements, leases, contracts, closing documents etc. for the purposes of creating an online data roomMiscellaneous and special projects requests and any other due diligence tasks as required by the team to facilitate capital markets transactions / business development initiativesLiaise with Cushman & Wakefield employees in other service lines (such as marketing, research and analytics) and geographiesLiaise with brokers and clients throughout all stages of the business development/listing/marketing processCorrespond directly with brokers and clients in order to complete due diligence projectsBe actively involved in management of multiple projects simultaneously to ensure all deadlines are met

What we are looking for:

2-3 years of work experience in real estateAn undergraduate degree (preferably with a focus on business/finance, real estate or urban planning)Strong written communication skills (sample to be provided)Strong technology skills with solid knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and ExcelUnderstanding of key real estate concepts and principles of valuationFamiliarity / experience with Argus Enterprise software is an assetAbility to systematically manage a heavy workload and meet stringent deadlinesStrong project management skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAccountability for meeting deadlines and providing quality materialsFlexibility to work irregular or extended hoursSelf-starter with the ability to take directionAbility to travel to and work from the C&W office in downtown Toronto





The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 63,750.00 - $75,000.00
