Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Financial Planning Software Solutions Consultant within the Family Office Services (FOS) team, this role empowers RBC Financial Planners, Investment Advisors, Private Bankers, and PH&N Investment Counsellors by delivering technical expertise for key tools, including Conquest Planning, the proprietary myGPS® platform, and Wealth Planning Calculators. Through centralized support, the position streamlines financial planning workflows, enabling advisors to provide differentiated, data-driven solutions that elevate client experiences. Collaborating with Wealth Management, RBC Personal & Commercial Banking, and cross-functional teams, the role bridges technology and strategic advice to enhance precision, efficiency, and client outcomes.

Please note that this is a financial planning consultant role with a software development focus, not a technology support position.

 
What will you do?

Financial Planning Tools Support – Assist the various RBC sales forces in using the corporate approved financial advice and planning tools to respond to client queries, uncover hidden assets, retain business, and develop referrals.Testing – Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of updated or newly created tools that are developed internally or acquired from external vendors. Coaching – Provide ongoing coaching to users directly or by referring them to job aids and other resource material.Documentation – Create and update job aids, user guides and other resources; assist in ensuring that financial advice and planning tools, reports, questionnaires and marketing materials are updated on a regular basis and develop new documents as required.Training – Working with Personal and Commercial Banking or Dominion Securities’ Learning Services groups, contribute to the development and updates of training programs and supporting material. Regularly facilitate training sessions for the sales force.Projects – Participate in various working groups & cross-departmental projects.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

Bilingual (French / English), both oral and written preferredUndergraduate education in a related field, preferably Finance or Wealth Management. CFP, IQPF, QAFP, F. PI., CLU, RRC, or PFP designation Knowledge of financial planning software (Conquest preferred)Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the financial planning / wealth management industryKnowledge of Canadian taxation and pension legislationExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsStrong research skills, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze dataAble to manage and prioritize workload with competing deadlinesAble to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
