Financial Planning and Analysis - Senior Manager

This role is part of a executive financial management reporting & analysis team that helps CSM Senior Leaders understand monthly and forecasted results metrics, identify key levers and drivers, recommend growth strategies, achieve financial targets and overall margin requirements of the product lines.

You will:

Develop key metrics reporting, analyze month close and forecasted business results, and present findings to Senior Leaders, Actuarial, and CSM CFO.Work closely with CSM FP&A team, actuarial, data science, business CFOs, and MEU on analytics, ad hoc requests, process improvement, and report design and enhancements.Collaborate across the organization including with key leaders, actuarial, MEU, and business CFOs to align on appropriate key metrics, consistency in data sourcing, and financial drivers

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and reports requiring substantial data sets from multiple systems.Synthesize data sets into comprehensive summaries for executive consumption to support business analytics, strategic decision-making, and long-term financial planning.Analyze underlying results, data credibility, and recommend process and report enhancements.Communicate effectively across the organization to ensure transparency and consistency in data representation.Execute methodologies for reporting and analysis inclusive of quality and consistent organizational practices.Effectively leverage technology to streamline and automate reporting activities, ad hoc request, and provide insight into financial drivers.

Required Qualifications

8 years financial reporting experience in healthcare, managed care insurance or financial services with identifying risks and opportunities, consolidate/report results to business partners and financial management, financial reporting/analysis at both regular and ad hoc frequencies and building and reporting analytics via PowerPoint presentations

Financial concepts and modelingFinancial AnalysisExperience with financial systems – Hyperion, Oracle, S4Microsoft Excel experience using functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Filters, etc.Microsoft Access and PowerPoint experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsCreating Management presentationsCommunicating clearly and presenting appropriate level of information to senior leadersAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentEffectively employ both written and interpersonal skills in accomplishing responsibilitiesProven team player with ability to work with all levels of colleagues, including managers and peersStrong analytical skills, modeling new products and initiatives

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
