Financial Market Infrastructures Network Manager

As a Financial Market Infrastructures Network Manager within the Network Management team, you will play an integral role in post-trade, Payment, Clearing and Settlement (PCS) of cash and securities transactions and financial instruments worldwide. Financial Markets consist of three key segments; Central Securities Depositories (CSDs); Payment Systems and CCPs, and are critically important to the operability, connectivity and stability of the financial markets in which they operate. Soundness, resilience, and strength of supervision and oversight of each Financial Market (FMI) is a key focus of both regulators, and the banks and institutions that use them ensuring related risks can be appropriately identified and managed.

Job responsibilities

Contributes to the FMI Network Management due diligence and oversight Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process reviews. This includes assessment and incorporation of new and relevant criteria into the oversight process as the regulatory landscape evolvesImplement on-going monitoring and governance requirements for FMI membership risks including adapting to regulatory and business changes over timeSupport LOB’s business strategies and priorities, including expansion into new markets and joining of new FMIsParticipate in and contribute to internal governance and controls forums and provide updates to senior management across all areas of the firmServe as a FMI subject matter expert to provide global, cross-LOB risk and governance advice and guidance on new and/or existing FMI engagements, covering a wide range of potential risks to support business decisionsCollaborate with Network Management, LOB and other cross-functional partners to ensure J.P. Morgan's compliance with relevant FMI-related regulatory guidance and obligationsDevelop the skills necessary to participate in special projects and initiatives as required (e.g. regulatory requests / examinations, recovery, and resolution planning, etc.)

 

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

Financial Services, Risk Management, Legal, or Regulatory backgroundExperience in analyzing and interpreting complex rules, regulations, and scenarios beneficialDemonstrated ability to distil complex information and articulate outcomes and opinions to key stakeholdersExperience in interacting with senior management and cross-functional, regional teams and business partnersDetail orientated, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic and evolving environment

 

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

Banking background with a knowledge of Securities and Payments FMI operators and systems
