Are you an insurance professional looking to specialize in some of the most complex risks in the Nordic market?
We are looking for a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our Nordic team, based in Copenhagen. In this role, you will specialize in Management Liability (MLC), handling high-stakes products like Directors’ & Officers’ Liability (D&O), Crime, and Employment Practices Liability (EPL).
You will join a truly pan-Nordic setup. While your desk is in Copenhagen, you are part of a specialized MLC team with colleagues in Stockholm and Helsinki. You will work with a Nordic mindset, focusing primarily on the Danish portfolio but also supporting operations across the region, including Norway.
What’s in it for you?
You will be part of a "Learn-It-All" culture that values expertise and freedom with responsibility. Here is what you can expect:
Nordic Integration: You get the best of both worlds – a strong local professional environment in Copenhagen and a direct reporting line to Sweden, ensuring a true Nordic perspective.
Complex Portfolio: You will work with diverse and complex clients, giving you the opportunity to utilize and further develop your technical underwriting skills.
Autonomy: We trust you to manage your own portfolio, negotiate with brokers, and make sound underwriting decisions with support from the team.
Competitive Package: We offer a competitive salary, bonus plan, pension, and 10 extra vacation days annually (5 weeks + 10 top-up days) to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
Your impact and responsibilities
Your primary focus is to drive profitable growth and service our existing portfolio in Denmark and the wider Nordic region. Your key responsibilities include:
Underwriting Excellence: Assessing risks, structuring programs, and pricing policies within D&O, Crime, EPL, and potentially Professional Indemnity (PI).
Broker Relationships: Acting as a trusted commercial partner for our Danish and Nordic brokers, delivering solutions that meet client needs.
Portfolio Management: Ensuring the profitability and growth of your assigned book of business through rigorous analysis and proactive renewal management.
Strategic Support: Contributing to the broader Nordic strategy by identifying trends and opportunities in the market.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a profile with a strong foundation in insurance who is ready to specialize further. We believe you are a match if you:
Have experience in the insurance industry (e.g., as an Assistant Underwriter, Broker, or specialized support role). Experience within Financial Lines is a plus.
Possess technical interest or knowledge of Management Liability products (D&O/Crime).
Are fluent in English and a Scandinavian language (Danish is strongly preferred due to the location).
Have strong negotiation skills and enjoy the commercial aspect of the job.
Are structured, analytical, and able to work independently in a matrix organization.
Meet the Team
You will report to the Nordic Head of Management Liability Commercial (based in Stockholm). You will be part of a fully integrated Nordic MLC team with colleagues across Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. In the Copenhagen office, you will sit alongside experienced professionals from other lines of business, ensuring a vibrant and social work environment.

No need for a lengthy cover letter – send us your motivated CV, including a short section on your motivation and fit for the role.
