Controller We’re seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing accounting to ensure accurate inventory valuation, maintain cost standards, and drive variance analysis. This role is critical in safeguarding cost data integrity, improving processes, and enabling informed decisions across operations and finance. Key Responsibilities + Manage and maintain inventory records for accurate reporting and valuation + Establish, update, and monitor cost standards to reflect current production and material costs + Maintain rolling standards to support ongoing cost accuracy and forecasting + Conduct and reconcile cycle counts to ensure proper inventory control + Analyze and report manufacturing cost variances, identify cost drivers, and support cost-reduction initiatives + Develop and monitor overhead rates for accurate allocation of indirect costs + Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams on budgeting and forecasting + Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit support related to inventory and cost accounting Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + CPA Preferred + Experience in manufacturing accounting + Expertise in inventory management, cost standards, rolling standards, cycle counts, variance analysis, and overhead rates + Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and analytical functions) + Proven ability to analyze data, explain variances, and deliver actionable recommendations Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ.
