Controller

We’re seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing accounting to ensure accurate inventory valuation, maintain cost standards, and drive variance analysis. This role is critical in safeguarding cost data integrity, improving processes, and enabling informed decisions across operations and finance.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain inventory records for accurate reporting and valuationEstablish, update, and monitor cost standards to reflect current production and material costsMaintain rolling standards to support ongoing cost accuracy and forecastingConduct and reconcile cycle counts to ensure proper inventory controlAnalyze and report manufacturing cost variances, identify cost drivers, and support cost-reduction initiativesDevelop and monitor overhead rates for accurate allocation of indirect costsCollaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams on budgeting and forecastingAssist with month-end close, reporting, and audit support related to inventory and cost accountingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA Preferred Experience in manufacturing accountingExpertise in inventory management, cost standards, rolling standards, cycle counts, variance analysis, and overhead ratesAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and analytical functions)Proven ability to analyze data, explain variances, and deliver actionable recommendationsJob Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
