Financial Compliance Quality and Technology Analyst – Atlanta, GA
The opportunity:
This role will report to the Sr. Director, North America (NA) Compliance, and will be responsible for performing key technology and quality activities supporting the US, Canada, and Mexico compliance teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming or application development skills to assist in designing and implementing solutions within the team’s compliance application as well as maintaining dashboards for key metrics. The ideal candidate should have strong skills for working with individuals across an organization. The candidate should have an understanding in a distributed manufacturing environment with the skills necessary to influence people in a global company.

The ideal candidate will support Smurfit Westrock in three key areas:
AuditBoard Administration & Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for AuditBoard-related inquiries and troubleshooting.Assist in implementing new modules, dashboards, workflows, and enhancements within AuditBoard that support the NA Compliance activities.Provide training and guidance to team members on AuditBoard functionality and best practices.Remain current on new functionality offered by AuditBoard or advise on new approaches to make the compliance activities as efficient as possible.
Quality Review & Documentation
Conduct thorough reviews of compliance documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.Identify gaps or inconsistencies and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.Maintain templates and guidelines for compliance documentation.
Departmental Support & Coordination
Enhance departmental reporting by creating visuals for reports, such as graphs, charts, and diagrams; engage with the compliance team to identify areas where support can be provided on finalizing reports efficiently.Maintain key dashboards and metrics to track compliance activities and performance that will also for ease of reporting to regional leadership.What you need to succeed:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and processes. Ability to learn and manage compliance technology platforms, particularly AuditBoard. Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Communicates clearly and effectively for collaborating across teams. Proactive mindset with problem-solving capabilities and willingness to take on various initiatives.Possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.Assists in providing training and guidance to internal team on the AuditBoard application and internal policies and procedures.Essential qualifications and education:
4-6 years of general business experience; relevant experience in areas of software maintenance/training, technical writing, compliance, and reportingBA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigorProficient in Microsoft-Office (Very strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Platform)System implementation experience is a plusStrong skills with working with SharePoint, QlikCloud, SQL Databases, AlteryxExperience with AuditBoard is a plusStrong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills that allow effective interactions/communications with business partners across regional and/or functional lines
