Financial Analyst V

**What You'll Do**
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst V to join our Benefits & Protection Finance team. In this role, you’ll focus on financial analysis and modeling of expense impacts for strategic initiatives and other projects.
+ Provide expertise, project support, and project leadership for complex projects in support of the financial function and the goals of the business unit. This includes identifying project barriers, alternative solutions for implementation, follow up actions needed, and the impact on financial and other goals of the company.
+ Lead large projects that could involve the coordination of several areas. Must be able to manage and prioritize several small projects at the same time.
+ Perform financial analysis and research; identify trends and variances on a timely basis for use by management and other operating areas in decision making. Make recommendations as appropriate.
+ Initiate opportunities to provide technical and business expertise to business units.
+ Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

**Who You Are**
+ Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance or related field with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience preferred
+ Self motivated with excellent problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required
+ Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change
+ Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages, or the ability to learn is preferred
+ Aptitude in programming languages is preferred
**Salary Range Information**
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
**Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)**
$110200 - $148200 / year
**Time Off Program**
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role is hiring in Des Moines, IA and offers in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangements.
