Financial Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer packaged goods industry, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting sales and trade management teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Location: Shelton, CT (Hybrid: Tues/Wed in-office, 3 days remote)**
**Pay: $48/hour**
**Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM EST (Flexible)**
**Contract: 3–6 months with potential to extend or convert to full-time**
**Must be authorized to work on W2 – no sponsorship now or in the future**
**What's the Job?**
+ Support financial processes, systems, and studies related to planning and forecasting for US account management
+ Lead monthly trade reviews with sales teams, ensuring audit controls are followed
+ Review and interpret monthly results, projections, risks, and opportunities in collaboration with business partners
+ Assist in developing customer P&Ls and conduct variance analysis to identify areas for sales and margin optimization
+ Support the preparation of the Annual Business Plan, monthly forecasts, and trade management initiatives
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on analysis
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
+ Experience working with financial systems such as SAP or Hyperion Planning is a plus
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
