The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and business consulting services to support assigned departments. This role involves collaborating with Strategic Planning, Corporate Business Development, and Partnership services to redesign processes, reduce costs, and maximize revenue while adhering to regulatory guidelines. The Financial Analyst acts as a financial advisor, interpreting information from reports to advise departments on strategies.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain institutional performance dashboards to report actual performance against predetermined financial goals.Fulfill complex report requests from organizational leaders requiring problem-solving and consulting skills.Build and summarize a variety of financial reports with superior analytical skills.Perform monthly quality assurance reviews on data, ensuring accuracy and resolving data issues.Prepare financial modeling to justify recruitment of faculty or staff when necessary.Develop new analyses and reports as requested by Operational Leadership.Train and educate end users on reporting tools and collaborate with IT for development of dashboards.Calculate and report productivity for customers.Interpret financial performance reports and provide recommendations for improvement.Produce complex ad-hoc requests and reports monthly and annually as requested by departments.Provide data, variance analysis, and consulting services for annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly financials.Support development of financial forecasts for assigned departments.Collaborate with operational leaders to evaluate opportunities to reduce costs or maximize revenues.Prepare financial modeling to justify new service offerings and expansion of services.Assist with new program and business development by providing financial assessments.Support strategic initiatives, modeling estimated financial impact and reporting on results.
Essential SkillsSeven years' experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, research finance, or business administration.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field or additional three years' experience in research finance or healthcare financial analytics support roles may be considered.Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and effort reporting.Familiarity with accounting procedures.Strong quantitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact with management.Ability to react quickly to change.
Additional Skills & QualificationsClinical trial experience is a plus.Experience with planning, budgeting, productivity, and forecasting systems.Experience in financial analysis in a healthcare setting, such as practice management, physician productivity data, billing data, nursing staffing analysis, or research finance.
Work Environment
The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site visits required at the Tampa facility. The role does not have direct reports and operates during the first shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.90 - $47.66/hr.
