Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

The Financial Analyst role is a 3–6 month contract with potential for permanent hire, requiring occasional travel to the Tampa facility. The position supports multiple departments by delivering financial analysis and business consulting services, working closely with strategic planning, corporate development, and partnership teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and revenue growth—all while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain institutional performance dashboards to track actual results against financial, operational, and resource management goals.Respond to complex reporting requests from leadership, applying advanced analytical and consulting skills.Perform monthly data quality reviews to ensure accuracy and collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies.Develop financial models and proformas to support faculty and staff recruitment decisions.Create new reports and analyses based on operational leadership needs.Train end users on reporting tools and partner with IT to develop or enhance dashboards.Calculate and report client productivity metrics.Analyze financial performance, productivity, and benchmark reports, offering actionable recommendations.Generate detailed monthly and annual ad-hoc reports for various departments.Provide data analysis, variance explanations, and consulting support for budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reviews.Collaborate with operational leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to increase revenue.Support new program and business development through financial feasibility assessments.Contribute to strategic initiatives by modeling financial impacts and presenting results.

Essential Skills

Minimum of seven years’ experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, research finance, or business administration.CPA certification required. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field or ten years of experience in healthcare financial analytics may be considered.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively engage with management.Adaptable and responsive to change in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with effort reporting and familiarity with clinical trial operations is preferred.Skilled in using planning, budgeting, productivity, and forecasting systems.Proven financial analysis experience within a healthcare environment, including practice management, physician productivity metrics, billing data, and nursing staffing evaluations.

Work Environment

The role is primarily remote but requires occasional visits to the Tampa facility. The working hours are during the first shift. The position does not have direct reports.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.90 - $47.66/hr.
