Financial Analyst | Tampa, FL Job Description

This role primarily involves answering questions on reports and completing ad hoc reports for assigned departments, focusing on head and neck oncology, GI oncology, Reconstructive Oncology, and Breast Cancer. The position supports the provider side of the business by offering analysis and business consulting services to various clinical departments such as ambulatory clinics, hospital ancillary services, and inpatient nursing units. The Financial Analyst collaborates with administrative and clinical staff to identify opportunities to redesign processes for cost reduction and revenue maximization while adhering to payer and regulatory guidelines.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain institutional performance dashboards to report actual performance against financial, process, and resource management goals.Fulfill complex report requests from organizational leaders, requiring problem-solving and consulting skills.Act as a system analyst to develop new analyses, reports, and dashboards for changing reporting needs.Perform monthly quality assurance reviews on data to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.Prepare financial modeling for provider or clinical staff recruitment justification.Develop new analyses and reports as requested by department administrators or nursing management.Train end users on reporting tools and collaborate with IT for dashboard development.Calculate and report nursing or physician productivity.Interpret financial performance and productivity reports, providing recommendations for improvement.Produce monthly and annual complex ad-hoc reports as requested.Provide data, variance analysis, and consulting services for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly DTOPS.Support financial forecasts related to provider volumes and nursing resources.Collaborate with staff to evaluate cost reduction or revenue maximization opportunities.Prepare financial modeling for new clinical service offerings and expansion.Assist in new program and business development by providing financial assessment.Support strategic initiatives by modeling financial impact and reporting results.Essential SkillsSeven years of experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, or business administration with CPA, or a Master's degree in a related field plus ten years of experience.Strong financial reporting experience with an analytical mindset.Exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with accounting procedures.Strong quantitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to react quickly to change.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with planning, budgeting, productivity, and forecasting systems.Experience in financial analysis in a healthcare setting.Ability to create complex financial models with multiple variables and assumptions.Ability to think independently and substantiate opinions and interpretations.Demonstrated functional knowledge of supported departments.Effective presentation skills and credibility with all organizational levels.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.98 - $47.66/hr.
