Job Description
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for administering the hospital’s operating budget system, conducting monthly functional center variance analysis, supporting Cost Center Managers and Directors with financial inquiries, maintaining the statistical ledger, generating ad hoc financial and statistical reports, and submitting statistical and trial balance data to MOH in compliance with MIS Guidelines. You will also assist Directors and Managers with the operating and capital budget and act as a liaison with other finance departments.
ResponsibilitiesAdminister the hospital’s operating budget system.Conduct monthly functional center variance analysis and explain financial variances to managers.Support Cost Center Managers and Directors with financial inquiries and identify opportunities for savings.Maintain the statistical ledger.Generate ad hoc financial and statistical reports.Submit statistical and trial balance data to MOH in compliance with MIS Guidelines.Process and prepare operating and capital budgets.Attend Program meetings as required.Act as a liaison with other finance departments (Payroll, A/R, A/P, General Accounting) and assigned programs.Support the S4 Hana Project and backfill research and controllership functions.Perform reconciliation, journal entries, year-end accruals, and audits.Support several different team members across various controllership functions.Address deliverables, questions, or concerns independently.Essential SkillsTwo years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial planning.Experience with information technology (Meditech, SAP).Intermediate Excel skills, including V-lookups, SUMIFs, and pivot tables.Working towards CPA designation.Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Financial Management.Current knowledge of accounting procedures.Understanding of the clinical/corporate structure and hospital environment.Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access.Intermediate knowledge of MS Word.Knowledge of MIS Standards for MOH reporting purposes.Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working in a healthcare environment.Understanding of the clinical/corporate structure and hospital operations.Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities.Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.Commitment to fostering a healthy and positive work environment.Engagement in ethical conduct and appreciation for diversity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
