Description
The role supports Finance Managers in charge of JP Programs dedicated to lead finance for Japan Consumer Innovations and JP Retail business overall. The role will be focuses on improving and centralizing operational tasks such as creating business performance tracking report by collecting data from multiple data sources and provide key reasons for the gaps. It includes preparing monthly/quarterly reports following set of processes and documenting SOP.
**This position is for a contractor with 1 year contract**
Key job responsibilities
-Collect data and input from multiple reports and counterpart across JP Store business for weekly/monthly/quarterly and fill into monthly and quarterly business performance tracking reports.
-Check consistency/accuracy of the data
-Uses Excel, Word and Amazon internal tool.
-Develop ad hoc report (depending on capability and capacity)
-Conduct ad hoc analysis and audit following standard step by step procedure
-Seek for automation and offshoring of the process to team by documenting step by step stand procedure document
A day in the life
-Flex working schedule (to be aligned)
-Have once or twice of 1:1 with each manager to align on the tasks and priorities.
-Workload may vary due to Month End Closing, weekly/monthly business review etc but those are seasonal and able to anticipate/schedule in advance.
About the team
JP Program Finance team includes one Sr. Financial Analyst, and three Finance Managers under one Sr. Finance Manager. Our business partners cover wide range of retail programs and innovations to drive topline growth and improve profitability.
Basic Qualifications
- BSc in Finance or Economics or related analytical degree
- Business English level
- Knowledge of standard software such as Excel (must) and/or Access, Oracle, Essbase, VBA skills etc.
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Master's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
- Experience with SQL
