JOB PURPOSE
Are you ready to take ownership of financial integrity and drive excellence in a dynamic, international environment? As Financial Accounting Manager Benelux, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of our financial books in both Netherlands and Belgium. You’ll be the trusted expert ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and leading process improvements, while collaborating with talented teams across the organization. You will be reporting to the head of accounting Benelux.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Process Excellence
+ Ensure timely, complete, and accurate accounting and reporting for both Group and local/statutory and tax purposes.
+ Drive end-to-end financial process excellence in partnership with stakeholders and teams.
+ Support external and internal audits.
+ Ensure compliance with the Global Financial Controls Framework and the Global Process Model.
Deployment of Global Expertise
+ Maintain a strong connection with the Global Control and Accounting Department (GCAD) and implement the latest developments in accounting rules and processes.
+ Partner with the organization on accounting and reporting matters, as well as on major business transformation initiatives.
Transformational Projects
+ Provide local leadership for accounting aspects of key transformation projects and global initiatives (e.g., implementing new accounting systems, integration of acquisitions/disposals).
+ Initiate and lead accounting process improvements and deployment in the accounting processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Manage and mentor a team of 2 motivated and skilled assistant managers.
+ Foster a positive team spirit and collaboration within the Controllers team.
+ Interact with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, GCAD, Corporate Audit, KPMG, Operating center and 3rd party service providers.
Key Requirements
+ 5 years in an accounting role is the minimum requirement
+ Relevant finance degree or accounting qualification.
+ Proficiency in accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, Local Dutch GAAP), and experience using ERP systems like SAP for financial management.
+ Continuous improvement mindset, with high-quality standards.
+ Resilience and ability to cope with time pressure and challenges.
+ Strong communication and positive influencing skills.
+ Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner.
+ Experience in financial accounting within consumer goods or services.
+ Fluent in English and Dutch.
