1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
The finance Manager is responsible for advising on how to increase profit through prudent financial practices, monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
This role will be responsible for coordinating the AR, AP, TAX, Internal control processes and documenting financial analysis projects. Key contact for the internal and external auditors. Works under minimal supervision.
2. Essential Functions
A) Support the Business Unit (BU) in pursuit of performance targets through in-depth analysis and sharing of financial / technical and process knowledge.
B) Support the preparation of necessary financial reports for all levels of leadership (Tier 1 & Tier 2) and ensure data integrity and congruent reporting which will allow fast, accurate identification of constraints and top levers for performance improvements.
C) Work with Program Management and Engineering to build a financial model which will allow simulations and sensitivity analysis of different business scenarios.
D) Support enhancement and compliance of all processes, standards and systems / tools.
E) Communicate, discuss and challenge performance impacts with managers at all levels.
F) Oversee the controlling process for Programs and assist the Program Management team with economic issues.
G) Support the identification of financial risks and calculation of provisions.
H) Ensure the accuracy and relevance of economic forecasts and analyses (NRE forecast, RTDI, etc.) prepared by the Program Managers with the support of other Departments.
I) Ensure transparency and timely reporting on concerning economic situations to other Seats Business Units creating an accurate global model to analyze programs.
J) In relation with controllers and strategic purchasing, coordinate at program level the process of estimating production costs and analyze differences with actual costs.
K) Support the process for preparing and updating the business plan (BP) for the different programs (NRE and CAPDev) enabling a global consolidation.
**Candidate skills & requirements**
L) Participates to monthly closing for RTDI
M) Support the Finance team as needed (audits, understanding of programs assumptions, invoicing status, etc.)
N) Organize and produce reports and ensure management oversight at the various levels of the company (monitor progress vs. forecasts, analyze differences, etc.)
O) Help Program Managers coordinate their activities and achieve their financial objectives.
P) Facilitate transparent communication with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Senior Leadership on program health, viability, and economic resilience, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Q) Perform other duties & special projects as assigned
3. Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
• Bachelor degree in Finance or Business, or six (6) years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in project management or financial area.
C. Professional Skills-
• Experience in reporting and forecasting processes
• Experience within the Aerospace industry a plus
• Experience in program management controlling a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Strong Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup and other basic formulas)
• Ability to build and interpret a business plan
• Project or Program Management skills
• Financial acumen (understanding of P&L, Budgeting, Forecasts, EAC, Actuals, etc.)
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Understanding of ERP and management data (purchasing/production module, etc.)
• Computer knowledge: explain what computer systems, if any, are required or preferred.
D. Behavioral Skills-
• Position requires high level of customer focus and frequent internal customer contact.
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills to create a sense of buy-in among team members.
• Capable of synthesizing information and recommending solutions.
E. Desirable Aspects- .
• Experience with complex MRP (M3, Mapics, or SAP)
• Experience with identifying and analyzing program cost
• Experience in program management principles or estimating bids
