The Freight and L&D Finance Manager – Europe and High Growth Markets is an individual contributor role responsible for providing financial leadership to the Europe and High Growth Market Freight and Logistics & Distribution teams, which have a combine annual spend of >$150M. The role requires strong financial acumen and ability to effectively partner with the Freight and L&D leaders to guide the warehousing and transportation organizations to more efficient operations. This position reports to the Global Operations Finance Director and is a key member of the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Global Operations Finance Team. The positions will be based out of the Netherlands. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Coordinate and lead the annual budget process with the associated functional managers and regional finance teams in Europe and High Growth Markets + Manage the monthly close processes, including overseeing regional accruals, conducting variance analysis to drive to root cause and presenting consolidated reports to both the L&D and Operations Finance teams. + Develop and publish regular reporting to track results and progress against goals/KPIs. + Provide financial analysis and support on proposed capital projects + Work with L&D leadership to identify opportunities for margin improvement, process simplification and greater efficiencies The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or other relevant area + 9+ years of Finance/Accounting experience (7+ with Master’s degree) including planning, financial analysis & management reporting in a large, multi-national organization. + Excellent communication and time-management skills + Knowledge of financial reporting tools, MS Office (Excel advanced level) and ERP systems and tools (Oracle, EPM, OBI) literate + Ability to work independently and effectively in a matrixed organization Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
