We are looking for a highly analytical, curious, and resourceful Financial Manager to lead planning/forecasting exercises and analyze the impact of existing programs. This individual will root cause issues as they arise, identify and quantify opportunities for cost savings and partner with internal stakeholders to increase efficiency and transparency of our financial reporting processes.
Brazil Operations FP&A:
Brazil Operations Financial Planning and Analysis leads month-end close variance analysis, balance-of-year forecast and planning for the Operations-wide financials for the following year and long term.
We are a finance team where each member focuses on particular operational cost performance and provides a consolidated view to senior leadership. Our engagement with each business and their Finance teams is diverse and frequent. FP&A provides the best opportunity for a person to have both a broad and detailed view.
This role presents long-term opportunities to grow in other parts of both Operations and the global Finance team.
This position, Finance Manager, will execute financial planning and reporting processes for our Brazil operations network. This includes coordination with Operations business stakeholders, as well as with local and international Finance teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying relevant insights, analytical reports and business commentary that enable leaders in the company to make sound decisions. The position will be responsible for analysis of and discussion on recent Operations performance, as well as communicating impact to our retail businesses for their bottom-line profitability.
The Financial Manager will also be responsible for managing projects to streamline planning/reporting processes and assess financial impact of new business initiatives.
The role will be based at our Brazil headquarters in São Paulo with occasional travel to other locations.
Key job responsibilities
Lead financial planning and reporting processes for Brazil operations network, including month-end close variance analysis, balance-of-year forecasts, and annual planning cycles, while coordinating with Operations stakeholders and local/global Finance management;
Deliver actionable insights, analytical reports, and business commentary that enable senior leadership to make strategic decisions on cost optimization and operational efficiency;
Analyze Operations performance metrics (productivity, cost per unit, volume trends) and communicate financial impact to retail businesses for bottom-line profitability assessment;
Lead cross-functional projects to streamline planning/reporting processes, implement automation tools, and assess financial impact of new business initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree;
- Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making;
- Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes;
- Multiple finance and accounting roles experience;
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses;
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results;
- Experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan;
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA;
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL;
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards);
- Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations.
