Finance Manager, AWS Sales, WWSO Finance
Description Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible leaders to help us redefine the IT industry. In this role, you’ll be at the center of AWS’s sales strategy, partnering closely with our Storage Specialists Sales team, driving regular inspection mechanisms (e.g. rhythm of the business), leading planning workflows (e.g. output target alignment), ensuring end-to-end adherence to policy and controls, all while partnering with senior Sales, Business, and Engineering leaders to deliver financial insights and recommendations that position us for future growth. You are a well-rounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving, and possess strong attention to detail. Key job responsibilities • Building rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction • Leading the financial support for existing Business reviews (WBR, MBR etc.), providing key insights on progress toward goals, working with teams on get-to-green plans, and assessing future risks. • Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions • Collecting analyzing, and presenting data-driven research that challenges status quo and champion change • Performing ad-hoc analysis proactively and present findings to senior leadership Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
