The UPS Healthcare Compliance Supervisor manages the onboarding and management of the departments SOX control procedures, SOC-1 compliance management with customers and external auditors, helps on-board newly acquired companies to the UPS financial reporting processes. This position formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization. He/She ensures that financial and operating reports are accurate and reflect the condition of the business. Furthermore, the supervisor will assist in research related to business unit specific accounting guidance / practices & any new projects that have the potential to impact accounting / financial statements will work with the Accounting Department. 

Supports Daily Compliance Function:

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Compliance, IT) to ensure alignment on business objectives and deliverables.Understand and analyze business processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.Serve as a primary point of contact for external customers, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and exceptional service delivery for SOC-1 reportingCoordinate and support external audits, providing required documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.Work with F&A Integration Management office train and equip new or recent acquisitions with standard, guiding accounting practices of UPSDevelop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and external partners to foster trust and collabor.ation.Document and communicate process changes and best practices to internal teams and external parties as needed.Monitor compliance and risk management activities, ensuring adherence to company SOX policies and industry standards.Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and auditors, summarizing findings, recommendations, and status updates.Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data insights and stakeholder feedback.

Supervises and Develops Others:

Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.

Demonstrates a broad business and accounting knowledge; describes methods in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized filesUnderstands basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; conducts financial analysesBachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Finance or Accounting
