Northrop Grumman is seeking a Finance Assistant 4 to support our Defense System Sector in Plymouth, MN. This position provides accounting assistance for a team of accounting and finance professionals

Responsibilities:

Processes and posts weekly labor timecards (~1,350) through the accounting systemAudit labor reporting error correction requests for sufficient documentation and enter corrections into the time reporting system (Kronos)Review labor charges weekly and work with employees/managers to make corrections prior to labor postingCoordinates correction of timecard errorsProvides back-up support to payroll processingDocuments and enters journal entries into Costpoint accounting system, produces and distributes weekly reports, graphs weekly cost data Processes check requests/wire transfers as neededAssists Financial Analysts with project set up and weekly/monthly reportingEstablishes intercompany projects, monitors cost and processes intercompany billingsPartners with Business Management, Contracts, and Billing to analyze and resolve program set up issuesReconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customer. Performs interpretation, presentation and reporting of financial and/or operational data to ensure management has accurate and timely information to make decisions and meet business objectives.Leads and/or participates in special projects as requestedAssists Financial Analysts with loading data into program management tools (Cobra and NGFP)Maintains Costpoint user defined fields for reporting purposesAssists preparing and consolidating tax reporting requestsAssists coordinating calendars and deliverables for the Financial Planning & Reporting team

Basic Qualifications:

Two-year accounting or finance degree and a minimum of 6 years of finance or accounting experience, or additional education in a business, finance, or accounting disciplineThe ability to work on-site in Plymouth, MNProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Must be reliable, organized, self-motivated, and possess a high degree of integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Past work experience with maintaining confidential data is strongly preferredQuick learnerExperience with Costpoint, Cobra, Kronos, or SAP experience

Salary Range: $56,600.00 - $94,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
