Finance and Quality Administrator – Essex (Hybrid)
Permanent | 36.25 hours per week | Salary: £25,401 per annum.

Barnardo's is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services (ECFWS) as a Finance and Quality Administrator.

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to provide comprehensive administrative support for finance and quality functions, ensuring service delivery standards and operational efficiency are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Support: purchase goods, process invoices, record additional mileage claims, and track income vs. spend through accurate logging of transactions, receipts and expenditure Funding Coordination: oversee the administration of community funds and grant applications Document Management: maintain accurate logs and documentation for SOPs, quality and compliance Quality & Compliance: process staff DBS checks, coordinate health & safety processes and audits, support Service Administration Manager with regular service audits Handle enquiries via email, phone and Teams from colleagues and external stakeholders in a professional manner

Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the ESSENTIAL CRITERIA below when completing their application.

Essential Criteria:

Proven administrative experience, ideally within the charity or healthcare sector Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong working knowledge of Excel; specifically in using formulas and conditional formatting to manage and report on data. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to work on own initiative, and with minimal supervision to achieve deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate across teams

Desirable Criteria:

Experience supporting financial administration; including processing invoices, and recording income and expenditure (via Excel spreadsheets) Experience supporting administration processes for quality compliance or health and safety Experience of working independently and remotely as part of a wide-spread team
