Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Fighters GNC Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO. Fighters (F-15, F/A-18) is looking for a senior manager to lead a team of Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineers who execute critical development effort on F-15 EX Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (AGCAS), F/A-18 EF / EA-18G AGCAS, as well as GNC related production and sustainment activities associated with F-15 and F/A-18. AGCAS is a very important safety related capability for fighters across Air Dominance, and these two platforms are at the front end of the development and integration of this capability on Boeing products.

Position Responsibilities:

Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Guidance Navigation and Control

Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies

Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manage, develop and motivate employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

5 years of experience in a Flight engineering discipline

3 years of experience working in GNC related engineering

1 year of experience leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Prior management or team lead experience

Excellent communication skills

Experience with Boeing military programs and processes 

Experience developing and administering budgets, schedules and performance standards

Prior oversight of technical effort of medium sized or multi-skill teams

Mentoring or technical lead engineer experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $142,800 - $193,200
