**Job Title: Field Technician Trainee (70% Travel)** **Job Description** As a Field Technician Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the build, testing, and setup of in-line inspection (ILI) tools, while also assisting in field execution and report generation. This entry-level position offers a comprehensive training program to develop your skills and advance in your career. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the build, testing, and setup of the ILI tool and support equipment under the guidance of the Field Superintendent. + Support field execution and post-run reports of the in-line inspection. + Inspect for internal and external corrosion or other damage. + Assist in the preparation, launching, and receiving of in-line inspection tools. + Clean, refurbish, and maintain in-line inspection tools after job completion. + Transport the in-line inspection tool and equipment to job sites. **Essential Skills** + Ability to perform physical demands of the job. + Willingness and ability to travel extensively. + Excellent communication skills. + Strong teamwork abilities. + Previous professional experience in heavy labor-intensive duties. + Solid job tenure with no significant employment gaps. **Work Environment** This role involves construction work with a flexible schedule, typically from 7:30 to 5:30 when in the shop. Travel is required 70%-80% of the time within the US and potentially to Canada, with trips lasting up to three weeks. Field work may involve long days, starting early in the morning and ending late. Conditions can vary from heat to cold and wet environments, requiring the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. routinely. Benefits include a company cell phone, credit card, and guaranteed 10-hour workdays when traveling. Travel and lodging expenses are covered, and a daily meal per diem is provided during overnight travel. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
