Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
A consultant is needed to assist with commissioning efforts. The role involves setting motor protection parameters, verifying motor rotations, and ensuring proper tracking and settings. The consultant will also be responsible for verifying field IO, ensuring E-stop devices are in place per drawing, and setting MDR power supplies. The individual will power up panels, assign IP addresses to PLCs and devices, and program the CAN gateway. Completing all checks in the commissioning checklist is essential, as well as assisting controls resources.
Responsibilities
Set motor protection parameters and verify motor rotations.Ensure belt tracking and card settings are correct.Verify field IO and ensure E-stop devices are correctly installed as per the drawing.Set and test MDR power supplies.Power up panels and ensure all PLCs and devices are communicating with assigned IP addresses.Program CAN gateway and check MDR.Complete all checks in the commissioning checklist.Assist controls resources with commissioning.Conduct HMI IO checks and base code functionality checks.Manage material flow and traffic.Implement jam and merge logic.Ensure proper E-stop code functionality.Manage 3rd party/PLC interlocks.Essential Skills

The project aims to update nearly all material handling equipment in the facility. Over the next two years, a warehouse control system solution (WCS) will be implemented to provide a centralized point of control and visibility within the warehouse. This system will empower operations and maintenance teams by efficiently monitoring and troubleshooting material handling equipment, ensuring smooth operations across the facilities. The centralized access point will manage facility flow and maintain uptime, reducing integration and implementation risks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
