**Job Title: Field Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Level 3 Advanced Field Technician capable of leading medium-sized commercial installations and managing projects from planning through completion. This hybrid role involves working both remotely and in the field.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead medium-sized commercial installations and manage projects from planning through completion.
+ Configure and troubleshoot complex systems involving intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and video technologies.
+ Operate initially under guidance with the expectation of increasing autonomy as you progress.
+ Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians, reinforcing company standards, best practices, and field efficiency.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and servicing commercial security systems.
+ Proficiency with intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance platforms.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and scopes of work.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills across low-voltage systems, networking basics, and integrated technologies.
+ Experience commissioning systems, performing acceptance testing, and completing project documentation.
+ Network skills to troubleshoot IP devices.
+ Understanding of WAN (Wide Area Network)/LAN (Local Area Network) and VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in electronic, alarm systems, telephone, cabling devices, security systems, CCTV, Audio/Video, burglar security systems.
+ Knowledge of construction and installation processes.

**Work Environment**
The role involves working both in the office and in the field, with a tenured and closely-knit team of four technicians. Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a rotating on-call schedule. Expect some travel within the state. The team is equipped with necessary tools including a tool pouch, electrical meter, wire stripper, side cutter, hammer, screwdrivers of multiple sizes, channel locks, needle nose pliers, flashlight, and tape measure.

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Madison,WI.
