Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions), is seeking a crewman (commercial door installer / door repair technician apprentice) to work at our Anaheim Branch.
Must be dependable, mechanical, have stick welding experience, and able to read dimensions and use a tape measure.
Position Overview:
The Crewman is responsible for assisting Foreman with commercial door installations and repairs, by checking on truck and materials, loading of tools, equipment, ladders, and materials. Ensuring safe backing out of driveways, safety coning off work area, and driveways, as needed and ensuring a safe environment prior to beginning installation, or repairs. This may include getting customers’ signatures on paperwork, and confirming the correct location, prior to installation. The role may involve, use of hoists, scissor lifts, and forklifts.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - 1–2 years of experience in using hand and power tools - Experience using hoists or cranes to handle steel coils (training/certification a plus). - Knowledge of 18-to-24-gauge sheet metal properties and safe handling practices. - Experience with stick welding a must. - Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.If you are ready to bring your skills to a company that values its employees like family, apply today to join Lawrence Doors and help us continue our tradition of excellence!
