Job Description

Join our team as a Field Technician, where you will collaborate with skilled workers to build concrete structures in industrial facilities. Your role will involve working with teams to build forms, pour concrete, and perform bricklaying tasks. The position requires the use of various tools such as trowels, levels, mixers, floats, hammers, and screwdrivers. A significant part of your work will include the tear-out and replacement of high-temperature concrete furnace linings using state-of-the-art, mechanized equipment similar to BROKK or excavators. You will apply craftsman techniques in masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating according to specifications and best practices.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with teams to build concrete structures in industrial facilities.Work with skilled workers to build forms, pour concrete, and perform bricklaying.Use tools such as trowels, levels, mixers, floats, hammers, and screwdrivers effectively.Complete tear-out and replacement of high-temperature concrete furnace linings.Operate mechanized equipment like BROKK or excavators for demolition tasks.Apply masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating techniques in line with specifications.Essential SkillsPrevious experience in heavy industrial or commercial construction.Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and work on feet for 8+ hours a day.Valid driver's license and ability to commute to job sites daily.Proficiency in masonry, concrete work, carpentry, general labor, and welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in concrete form building and bricklaying.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn and apply multiple skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work alongside a skilled lead rather than leading a team. The standard working hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, but flexibility for weekend or off-shift work is required depending on project needs. The role involves industrial construction with a significant contract in Oswego, offering a dynamic and challenging work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
