Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the startup of HVAC units, which includes preventive maintenance tasks such as changing filters and belts, tightening belts, and performing visual and audio inspections. You will also install sheet metal and work with various tools.

ResponsibilitiesStart up HVAC units and perform preventive maintenance, including changing filters and belts.Test units, turn them on, and perform visual and audio inspections.Install sheet metal and work with basic hand tools such as hammers and cordless drills.Select appropriate materials for each job based on desired or necessary strength.Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensions.Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.Connect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.Perform assigned work on assembly lines, such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in installing sheet metal and HVAC systems.Proficiency with hand tools and the ability to install sheet metal.Experience in or a strong interest in learning HVAC startup procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsCommercial or industrial work experience.Experience in HVAC installation/startup or a willingness to learn.Ownership of personal hand tools.Preferred skills in brazing and sheet metal work.Why Work Here?

This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing company located in downtown Cleveland. The company promotes from within and offers a tool program. You will work within a 30-50 mile radius of the office, providing a stable and rewarding work environment.

Work Environment

Work takes place on commercial and industrial job sites. You will drive your own vehicle to job sites typically within a 30-mile radius, with occasional travel up to 50 miles. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel beyond this range.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
