This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities In this role

You will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your skills by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification, Smart Power in Baden. Main stakeholders are customers, field service associates, internal Service Coordinator Team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.

Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.

Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications for the role

Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Electrician, Electrical Installer, or a similar technical qualification.

At least 3 years of professional experience in automation, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; exposure to UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems.

Highly skilled in working with electromechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and field service methodologies within the industrial automation sector.

Focused on customer satisfaction, readily adjusts to changing demands, and contributes constructively to team problem solving.

Native-level German language skills and basic English knowledge; able to communicate professionally in customer-facing environments.

Willingness to travel, participate in on‑call rotations, and take on weekend assignments; main area of operation: Region Mittelland / Bern.

Valid driver’s license required for operations within Switzerland.
