Marine Field Service Technician. This is a customer-facing role that requires a high degree of expertise and the ability to work independently.  Marine Field Service Technicians also receive specialized and targeted training in troubleshooting, technical procedures, and safety.  
Travel: up to 25% expected with occasional overnights as needed

Duties: Use troubleshooting techniques to diagnose problems/cause of failure.  Remove/disassemble and assemble/install marine engine components and parts. Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain marine equipment and components. Test, measure, and adjust marine engine and machine systems and components. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to successfully complete tasks. Order replacement parts ensuring that orders are correct and complete. Clean, repair, recondition and maintain marine engines, generators, and components. Test, measure, and adjust marine engine and power system components Prepare, inspect, and operate machines prior to delivery. Prepare inspection and appraisal reports, complete accurate service reports and other necessary reports and forms. Must be willing to do occasional travel for 2-3 days at a time Requirements: High school diploma required, Associates degree in related field, preferred. Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience diagnosing, testing and repairing marine application engines on pleasure and/or commercial crafts. Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures is required. Ability to work independently and can complete work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated problem solving skills; detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Proven customer service skills, able to work with a diverse customer base and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Working Conditions: The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials. Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting. Job requires working in confined spaces with limited ability to move around. Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines in order to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must be able to lift varied weight – up to 75lbs unassisted. Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities. Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
