Department OverviewKodiak, a Motorola Solutions Company, is a leading provider of carrier-integrated broadband push-to-talk (PTT) solutions that provide fast, seamless group or one-to-one communications over LTE/4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi networks.  The Data Center Department within the Unified Communications Business Unit implements and maintains all hardware that is or will be deployed in our Data Centers to provide our Domestic and International Services in the Software as a Service modality.
Job Description

This position needs to be filled by a skilled technician who works on the physical implementation of hardware and network Cabling (UTP Cat 6). Fiber Optic and power for Data Center equipment. 

Responsibilities:

Rack and Stack equipment like Servers, switches, routers, and FirewallsRun cabling based on the source and destination tables.Run Cables inside the data Center, from Cabinet to cabinet, from equipment to equipmentAssemble RJ45 Connectors, and use a scanner to confirm that the cable meets the Cat 6 standards.Oversee Cabling Providers for quality assurance.Assemble RacksGround Cabinets to the general ground infrastructure of the Data CenterLabel cabling based on source and destinationTrace Fiber and Cables, and create documentation in a source and Destination TableInstall Fiber optic infrastructure, like Panduit Fiber runnerCalculate the materials needed for a new cabling project with high accuracy, based on a review of existing infrastructure or a brand-new environment.Work as remote hands for Engineers to replace hardware.

Qualifications:

5 Years of Experience implementing Data Center Infrastructure.Excellent use of computers and computer programs like Google Sheets, Google Docs, and emails.This position will travel frequently.Experience implementing Copper and fiber cabling for a data center.
