This role has emerged due to the company's expansion and the increased need for client support. As a Field Service Representative Support (FSRS), you will play a crucial role by providing engineering and field start-up services for electrical power monitoring and control systems. You will join a team dedicated to offering onsite and remote support for power monitoring systems, metering device configurations, updates, and start-up verifications. Your work will involve configuring, updating, and initiating communication with gateway devices, ensuring application software performs correctly.
ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite and remote support for power monitoring systems and metering device configurations.Configure, update, and start communication with gateway devices.Perform support services for deployed electrical power monitoring systems.Deliver customer operational/maintenance orientation training and documentation for electrical power monitoring systems.Travel to job sites as required.Essential SkillsAbility to read, understand, and create electrical single-line drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Troubleshooting experience with electrical equipment.Knowledge in low and medium voltage switchgear design and troubleshooting.Experience with metering and relay hardware troubleshooting for both current and obsolete devices.Proficient in implementing and troubleshooting power management software such as Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert and Siemens WinPM.Experience with HMI/SCADA programming, troubleshooting, and basic configuration.Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, ModbusTCP, BacNet, and Profibus.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven track record of providing excellent customer service.Effective communication skills for interacting with engineers, technicians, and managers.Experience in managing travel schedules, expense reporting, and project documentation.Ability to work independently and manage tasks without supervision.Flexible schedule to occasionally work outside regular weekday hours.Work EnvironmentThe work is conducted onsite at clients' locations, focusing on power management systems. This environment requires adherence to safety practices and may involve travel to various job sites.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Campbell, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.06 - $54.46/hr.
