Make a Direct Impact in Energy Efficiency – Field Service Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a customer-focused and hands-on Field Service Technician to support a residential energy efficiency program in partnership with a local electric utility. This is a unique opportunity to help homeowners reduce energy consumption while traveling across Florida.

About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll visit customer homes to install energy-saving products and educate residents on how to reduce their electricity usage. You’ll work closely with a partner, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role involves travel and direct customer interaction, making it ideal for those who enjoy being on the move and making a difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

Install energy-efficient products such as LED bulbs, low-flow aerators, showerheads, insulation jackets, and foam sealants.

Educate customers on how to reduce energy usage and save money.

Accurately report installation measures and document safety issues.

Drive company-provided work vehicles to customer homes and lodging locations.

Participate in neighborhood kickoff events and community outreach.

Travel approximately 60% of the time across Florida (hotel and food covered).

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR required pre-employment and every 6 months).

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and with a partner.

Willingness to travel overnight and work occasional Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in sales, customer service, HVAC, cable/satellite installation, or energy efficiency.

Familiarity with hand tools and basic home installations.

Detail-oriented and safety-minded.

Experience with mobile technology and reporting tools.

Pay Rate: $19/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional Saturdays or 4-day/10-hour weeks based on field needs)

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
