CNC Field Service Technician (Grinding/Lathe) Location: Chandler, AZ (regional coverage) Travel: 85%+ with overnights | Work Style: Remote on non‑travel days Level: Intermediate The Role We’re seeking a CNC Field Service Technician with strong experience in grinding and/or lathe systems—service, assembly, and maintenance. You’ll install, commission, troubleshoot, and support CNC equipment across the region. This role is ideal for a hands‑on problem solver with solid mechanical and electrical skills, a customer‑first mindset, and the flexibility to travel extensively. What You’ll Do + Provide diagnostic support for warranty and non‑warranty products via on‑site visits and remote channels (video, email, phone). + Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC machine tools. + Train and advise customers on proper operation, preventive maintenance, and care of machines and accessories. + Coordinate upgrades and special options; scope service requirements with customers and internal teams. + Maintain clear, continuous communication with customers until issues are fully resolved. + Share knowledge with fellow field techs and collaborate cross‑functionally as needed. What You’ll Bring + 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repair (equivalent education/experience considered). + Hands‑on experience with CNC equipment (field service or in‑plant maintenance). + Ability to read/interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. + Understanding of machine design, operation, and repair practices. + Proficiency diagnosing mechanical/electrical systems (including PLC‑related troubleshooting). + Familiarity with machine tools and their core functions. + Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $88000.00/yr. Compensation & Benefits: Pay Range: $38-$42/hour, depending on experience, education, and specific industry expertise.
