**Job Title: Field Service Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role offers two different openings: one for mechanical technicians and another for electrical/electronics technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of industrial machinery at client locations around the globe.
Responsibilities
+ Install industrial machinery at client locations globally and work at the manufacturing building when not traveling.
+ Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Work with AC/DC motors and drives, ranging from 480V to 3000V.
+ Manage machinery installation at job sites, collaborating with contracted workers to ensure successful completion.
+ Lay rail, hydraulic hosing, run pipe, lay cable, and test equipment.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs.
+ Interface with clients and represent the company to ensure timely project completion, addressing any issues promptly.
+ Install equipment ranging from $100,000 to multi-million-dollar strip coating, melting, and forging equipment.
+ Work 50-55 hours per week, with potential for 60+ hours, especially when traveling internationally.
+ Utilize Microsoft Office and Excel to communicate and meet deadlines.
+ Communicate openly and professionally with clients using hand and power tools, including volt meters and oscilloscopes.
+ Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Travel 30% locally and 70% overnight.
+ Complete a local training period of at least 6 months.
+ Drive to client sites within 300 miles, with the option to rent a car or use a personal vehicle.
+ Handle service calls to troubleshoot and repair existing client equipment.
+ Respond to urgent client issues with short notice, with flexibility for personal commitments when communicated upfront.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of experience as a field service tech, maintenance technician, machine building, or military mechanic.
+ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
+ Valid driver's license and eligibility to obtain a passport.
+ Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Ownership of basic hand tools (pliers, wrenches, nut and screwdrivers).
+ Excellent communication skills to interface with clients and supervisors.
+ Experience with measuring tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, or volt meters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Military experience is a significant plus.
+ Experience as a radio or radar technician is beneficial.
+ Welding and brazing skills are advantageous.

Work Environment
This position is direct placement with a typical shift from 7am-3:30pm, sometimes extending to 6-4:30, working 50-55 hours per week. When traveling, you'll work according to customer hours, usually day shifts. Be prepared for a heavy industrial environment with a busy, fast-paced atmosphere, characterized by extensive machine building and an abundance of parts on a large manufacturing floor. **Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $60000.00/yr.
