Field Service Technician
### Job Duties The following work may be done while building a machine, installing, providing service, or providing Engineering tech support: - Troubleshoot and assemble all areas of equipment using drawings, specifications, blueprints, and schematics including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical sub-assemblies and PLC controls. - Help plan and document installation, service, repair, and assembly procedures. Follow written work instructions and documented specifications. - Test equipment to ensure it is working properly. - Make slight modifications and/or repairs to equipment; communicate to proper departments in a timely manner and in writing, any changes or modifications made to equipment. - Dismantle equipment for replacement of parts and/or repair parts on the equipment. Relocate equipment to new locations as required. - Installation of standard equipment offering equipment per schedule. - Address customers in a professional manner on issues in a workable solution that create an ongoing working relationship with the customer. - Provide telephone technical support and troubleshooting on standard parts and equipment offering for customers. - Use photo and video technology to perform duties when appropriate. - Train customer operators and maintenance people on basic operations, safety, and maintenance of all equipment. - Regularly demonstrate a high level of independent judgement and decision making - Other duties as assigned ### Minimum Education Required - Associates Degree or 5 years Equivalent Experience within Field Service ### Minimum Experience Required - 3+ years of experience within industrial equipment machine building/installation - Valid Drivers License & U.S. Passport - High mechanical aptitude, problem-solving and troubleshooting ability especially in electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and mechanical systems - Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, manuals, blueprints, and schematics - Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics preferred - Open to Travel 75%-100% Travel - Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and Servo Motors - Mechanical Machine Troubleshooting/Repair/Assembly - Electrical 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems - Electrical Installation & Electrical Troubleshooting - Machine Safety Inspections PLUS: - Emerson and B&R Programming Software ### Shift First (Day) ### Number of Openings 2 ### Public Transportation Accessible No ### Veterans Encouraged to Apply Yes ### Physical Required Yes ### Drug Test Required Yes ### Compensation $33.00 - $50.00 / Hourly ### Postal Code 55449 ### Place of Work On-site ### Requisition ID 1347 ### Job Type Full Time ### Job Benefits - Health, Vision, Dental, 401k - Travel Stipend - Company Credit Card ### Application Instructions If you're interested in discussing the position, please email me a good time for you to talk & your resume to Rhaufschild@rhmstaffing.net - I will respond within 24 hours or less.
