Our client, a leading technology service provider, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be part of the IT Support team, providing essential technical services to internal customers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to customer service, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.
**Job Title:** Field Service Technician
**Location:** Syracuse, NY
**Pay Range:** $28 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Manage all activities required to provide technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems.
+ Ensure that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.
+ Execute information technology projects to ensure the success of department objectives.
+ Perform training programs designed to educate the organization's computer users about basic computer use and specialized applications.
+ Maintain an expert level of computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Operating Systems, primarily Windows desktops and laptops, and the use of mobile devices.
**What's Needed?**
+ 2-3 years of related experience in technical support or a similar role.
+ CompTIA A+ and Net+ Certifications, or equivalent associate's degree, or years of experience.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
