**Job Title: Field Service Technician**
**Job Description**
The Field Service Technician will provide field and inside support activities, including start-up and in-service training, corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and warranty evaluations. This role requires delivering quality service and support for air and vacuum equipment, medical gas pipeline equipment, components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. The technician will perform start-up and in-service training on complex systems and equipment, as well as field service preventative maintenance, component replacement, and corrective maintenance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform start-up and in-service training on complex air and vacuum systems and medical gas pipeline equipment.
+ Conduct field service preventative maintenance and component replacement.
+ Troubleshoot and repair in-house and field service warranty evaluations on air and vacuum equipment and medical gas pipeline.
+ Travel for day trips to client sites to perform preventative maintenance or part changes on machines and motors.
+ Troubleshoot wiring issues.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical maintenance experience (3+ years required).
+ Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, power tools, hand tools, installation, hydraulics, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience with industrial equipment.
+ Willingness to travel up to 80% after training.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Certification (ideal).
+ Experience working with motors in automotive or heavy industrial settings.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
+ Experience documenting part orders and communicating with vendors.

**Work Environment**
The technician will work in a large facility near a warehouse in a spacious production room. Each technician shares a workbench with another tech and collaborates with assembly technicians across the hall. The role requires comfort with hands-on work, including getting dirty with oils and motors while repairing machines and small devices.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $36.99/hr.
